Yoke for a dress crochet pattern. Crochet yoke patterns. Yoke made of motifs

A girl from an early age needs to be taught the concept of beauty. Threads and a hook in skillful hands will create a miracle. This tool is intended not just for knitting, but for creating lace that can turn a baby into a real princess. Need a tight dress? It can also be knitted with a large number hook and thick woolen threads.

Perhaps not the easiest option, but the fastest in execution, is a crocheted summer dress for girls. It is best to take cotton threads for work due to their hygroscopicity. Although cotton, unlike linen, warms, openwork knitting will create the necessary “ventilation” for the child’s body.

Diagram and description

The simplest dress can be made from motifs. The beauty of this model is that as the child grows, it can be knitted in length. It is advisable to initially knit the product wide, with a large neck, so that the adored princess does not quickly grow out of it. The straight silhouette of the dress allows you to use square motifs. The simplest of them begins to be knitted with a ring of eight air loops. For greater density, the circle is tied with single crochets. Don't forget about the lifting loops in each row. In the third row, columns with air loops alternate. From two loops we knit double crochets, then five chain crochets, again two double crochets, then five chain crochets, etc. You should get a square outline.

Next, we knit in a checkerboard pattern: where the air loops were, we knit the stitches. First two, then we skip the loop, making a chain of five chain loops over it to form an angle. From the two remaining chain stitches of the bottom row, we knit two stitches, etc. If you need to make a “bridge” of chain stitches not at a corner, then you can cast on two or three of them so that the motif turns out flat. You can make anything from these motifs in different colors: a vest, a dress, a T-shirt.

Crochet dresses for girls - diagrams and descriptions

A more complex dress is knitted on a yoke that fits close to the body. The skirt with this style has a flounce. A special pattern is selected for it, for example, a fan pattern, which can be easily increased from top to bottom of the product. As a rule, the yoke is made dense, and the skirt is made airy. But you can make a yoke in the form of a cape, which is incredibly beautiful. It is good to decorate the edge of the yoke and skirt with the same teeth.

Crochet yoke

You can crochet different yokes - round and square. Each option can really be played in its own way so that it looks advantageous.

Example in pictures

You can see samples of yokes in the pictures below. The name of the “square” yoke version is not entirely correct, since this part is most often rectangular. A round yoke is often an oval. It all depends on the style of the children's dress.

How to knit

It is convenient to start a round yoke from the neck, since its size is initially known. We assemble a chain of air loops of the required length. We begin to knit double crochets from every second loop, alternating them with chain loops. To make the yoke larger from the center, in the next rows you need to knit two single crochets from one loop, alternating them with chain loops. After a couple of rows, the number of air loops between paired columns can be increased to two or three. The length of the yoke depends on what kind of short sleeves a summer dress should turn out from it.

A square yoke forms a bob collar. You need to add loops in it not along the entire length of the knitting, but in the corners. In reality, the product turns out to be rectangular: the smaller side is on the shoulders, the larger side is on the back and front.

Crochet sundress for girls

It is even easier to cope with the work on the sundress, since the product can be made on straps. It is enough to knit a cone or cylinder with an openwork pattern and then attach the straps to it.

Example in pictures

The styles of sundresses are different. The lower part of the product may consist of only flounces, frills, and ruffles. The top one is made more modest, it is a smooth canvas with or without an openwork pattern. Conical models can be openwork from top to bottom. Sometimes the pattern fades into the background giving priority to color. Sundresses made from colored motifs or with multi-colored rows look especially expressive.

Knitting pattern

It’s interesting to see a sundress with alternating motifs and openwork fabric. We choose floral square motifs. They are knitted from the center, where a round flower or an eight-pointed star is made, which are tied in the shape of a square with a couple of rows of stitches. A strip is sewn from such motifs. Similarly, we knit motifs of a different color and collect them into a strip. Between these stripes, you can knit the canvas with a monotonous pattern, choosing either a transitional shade from one motif to another, or a contrasting color with both.

The children's dress “Zefirka” or “Zephyr” has become popular among mothers. It is not at all necessary to knit it with cream or white threads: after all, babies can sometimes be such “packs”! The secret of the dress is that it is knitted from the yoke and continues in a single fabric, like one piece. And the sleeves and hem do not require special tying, because thanks to the pattern, a nice edging is obtained.

Example in pictures

There are many successful projects where plain or multi-colored yarn was used. The pattern is relief, fan type. Experienced knitters, even looking at the finished work, will understand how this ornament is made.

How to knit

The neckline is drawn on with a chain of air loops to the required length. A lifting chain of 3 air loops is knitted from it, and then double crochets are made through two loops. And between these columns three air loops are made. Next, for density, a row of single crochets is knitted from each loop so that the neck is not loose. Next you need to form a fan pattern. The beginning is done like this: we skip a loop, from the next we knit one double crochet, a couple of chain loops and again a double crochet. The result is a kind of tick. Next, relief (front) columns are knitted, and between them there are bridges made of air loops. A fan or shell is knitted from these bridges. All knitting follows similar patterns. The dress expands towards the bottom due to a gradual change in the length of the bridges and the number of columns in the shells.

Crochet children's dresses - beautiful patterns

A wide variety of patterns on the Internet are a great help for young mothers who have time for knitting. When the baby is not very capricious, she gives her mother the opportunity to knit, and in gratitude she transforms into a little queen. Where to begin? From the creation of kryzhma - baptismal attire.

Crochet christening dress for baby

You can do the same “Marshmallow”: the child will be in a dress like an angel. It will turn out very beautifully if you thread a white silk ribbon through the holes of the openwork and tie bows. Those who know how to make patterns well should try to depict an Orthodox cross or knit an angel.

The motif for such a dress will be snowflakes. To achieve naturalness, you need to find patterns of hexagonal motifs, because snowflakes in nature look exactly like this. Unlike square motifs, hexagons are connected in a running pattern, so you need to have a good idea of how to crochet a one-piece dress for a girl from them.

What kind of knitted daisies do needlewomen come up with! If the flower is voluminous, then it is better to place it as a decoration on the bodice of the dress. You can also put small convex daisies along the belt.

Such products exist in summer and winter versions. For summer clothes, the yoke can be knitted, and the bottom of the dress can be linen or cotton. And vice versa, the yoke can be made as smooth as possible from the fabric, the bottom can be knitted with an openwork pattern. This dress comes with a cover. Woven details framed with knitted edging look great.

Warm crochet dress for girls

A warm crocheted dress for girls is made from woolen threads. Such clothes can be assembled from multi-colored motifs, but they need to be made from thick yarn. The pattern should be chosen so that it has as few empty spaces as possible. If you want to give a corrugated structure to some parts of the product, you need to crochet an English elastic band. It doesn't stretch as much as it bulges, creating corrugations.

A warm dress must have sleeves. This shaped product can be made according to the “raglan” pattern, which is much easier for beginners. Knitting begins from the neck according to the square yoke pattern. Next, there is a division into sleeves, front, and back panels.

If you need to knit separate sleeves, it is better to find a pattern on the Internet or prepare a pattern by taking the child’s measurements. Make a knitting plan and make sleeves. Next, they will have to be tied into the bodice of the dress.

Beginner knitters are given a step-by-step description of a knitted yoke for a children's dress. Two main options will be considered: round and square - your choice. The presented diagrams are simplified and clearly described, but, despite the simple description, they are original in execution.

If you thought we were talking about a round top, that's not entirely true. Both patterns are simply knitted in the round without a seam. But both the square and the round yoke - both of them are performed continuously. This method greatly simplifies the knitting process, but does not impair the appearance and originality. The highlight lies in the chosen pattern and its combination with the color and structure of the yarn.

Knitting a one-piece round yoke

Let's start with a round model and delve into the meaning of the task set before us. The main goal is to start working from the neckline and smoothly move on to making the sleeves and front with the back. This transition is called a yoke, is located in the shoulder area, and looks advantageous on almost any dress model. Now we will learn how to crochet a round yoke for a children's dress.

Yarn option for crochet

For children's clothing, it is better to take “iris” or “snowflake” cotton yarn because they have medium thickness and a glossy texture, which is necessary for making a light, delicate dress. Synthetic or wool blend non-thick yarn of the “children’s whim” type is also suitable, but it is more suitable for the winter or spring-autumn season.
So, knitting pattern is as follows:

  1. We cast on 72 air loops and close them in a circle;
  2. We continue working in the same direction and knit 2 double crochets from one loop, and 1 double crochet from the next. We repeat this until the end of the circle.

    Tip: in order not to lose the beginning of the work, we pin a pin to mark it;

  3. Constantly following in one direction, we continue (after the pin) to knit each loop with single crochets;
  4. We knit 5 air loops, and knit the 6th in every 3rd stitch of the previous row;
  5. Loops were formed from 5 “airs”. Now we knit 3 single crochet stitches from them and do this with each bow;
  6. Then from one loop we knit 2 double crochets, from the next - 1 double crochet, skip 1 stitch and repeat this repeat until the end of the row;
  7. Next we repeat points: 3, 4, 5 and 6;
  8. We repeat points: 3, 4, 5.

An example of a knitting pattern for a round yoke. The point is an air loop. Cross line - double crochet.

When we have a crochet yoke for a children's dress ready, we can move on to making the sleeves and fronts. First the sleeves are knitted, and then the front and back. Some knitters, to avoid seams, knit them together in the round if the pattern allows. It seems that the mating progresses faster this way.

However, given the difference in size, our upper part can be increased by continuing to add to the desired parameters. If the size turns out to be larger than necessary, then you can undo one or two rows. The yoke pattern is designed for gradual expansion, which allows you to knit it until you achieve the desired size.

The patterns offered here are not designed for your individual knitting density., hook number and yarn thickness. Therefore, starting knitting from the first chain, be sure to try to thread the head into the future neck. Or take measurements of your head volume so that you can easily put on a ready-made dress.

The next option is a square yoke

The square yoke is firmly rooted in modeling and looks great on children's products. It is knitted in the round with the only difference that the increase in stitches is not done along the entire row, but only in four designated places. The furrows formed as a result of the increase start from the neckline and end in the armpits. There they connect, and the line of sleeves and front with back begins.

Crocheted square yoke

Let's describe it step by step Scheme for making a yoke for a children's combined dress:

  1. We collect 92 air loops for the neck and connect them into a circle;
  2. We knit 4 “airs”, skip 1 stitch of the previous chain and knit 1 stitch from every 3 loops. with one double crochet, then 1 double crochet, and so on within 21 loops of the chain (it turns out a total of 16 double crochets + 4 double crochets in between). Then we knit 3 chain stitches and again 3 tbsp. with one double crochet, 1 double crochet in continuation of 23 chain loops (total 18 double crochets + 5 double crochets in between). We repeat this rapport 2 more times and reach the end of the row. Where the 3 air stitches are laid, the grooves will be determined, and during the work the loops will be concentrated to add a yoke;
  3. Having reached the end of the row, we pin a pin to indicate the beginning of knitting. We knit 3 chain stitches and 2 tbsp. with one double crochet from one loop of the previous row, 1 double crochet, 3 tbsp. with one double crochet from one loop, which is the space between the double crochets of the bottom row. Knitting 3 tbsp. from one point + 1 “air”, we continue, reaching 3 “airs”, which will later become grooves. These 3 stitches are knitted like this: from the 1st loop we knit 3 tbsp. with one double crochet, knit 3 chain stitches, skip 1 chain stitch of the bottom row and knit 3 stitches from the 3rd chain stitch. with one crochet. Rapport from 3 tbsp. with 1 chain we continue, reaching the next 3 chain stitches, and with them we perform the procedure described above;
  4. We crochet in a circle the pattern suggested in the pattern, not missing the grooves consisting of 3 “airs”. They are the basis for the expansion that creates our beautiful square. In total, if you follow the pattern, we knit 6 rows. But if a larger size is required, then you can continue in the same vein, adding grooves and rows to the size you need. This creates a square yoke.
Knitting pattern for a square yoke for a children's dress

In the video you can see an example of calculation for a square yoke, loin and continuous knitting:

To determine the size of the yoke, just put it on the model’s shoulders and try to connect the places where the loops are added in the armpits. If tension occurs, it means you need to knit an extra few centimeters. Conversely, if the grooves are much lower than the armpits, it is worth loosening a few centimeters. Do not be sorry to dissolve unnecessary things, the further outcome of the matter directly depends on this. The dress should sit beautifully and fit your figure. Otherwise, the main drawing will either corrode or shrink and its structure and beauty will not be shown.

What is a combination dress?

As you noticed, we are talking about a combined dress. The combination can consist of both the texture of the yarn and the combination of different colors. For example: the upper shoulder part and cuffs with a collar can be made in the same color scheme, but the main color of the dress can be a different color. Or the top, waistband and bottom edging are connected with one pattern, and the sleeves, back and front with another, more restrained pattern.

There is a wonderful option for a combined model: a knitted top and a bottom sewn from lightweight material. The top is a yoke, and the lower part of the dress is cut out from any material that matches the color. The sewn fabric can consist of fabrics such as:

  • Chintz,
  • Organza in several layers;
  • Batiste;
  • Satin;
  • Crepe de Chine.

Options for various combinations can be found on our website. You will be pleasantly surprised by the dresses offered and will definitely find a response from future owners of the models. If you pay tribute to fashion, it is better to choose yarn in bright colors, but do not overdo it with a set of colors. Two or maximum three bright colors are quite enough. Summer options include yellow, sky blue, green, orange, white and pastel colors. These are classic variations that are exceptionally compatible with each other.

The drawing schemes will delight you with their variety and originality. From simple satin stitch and fillet knitting to complex openwork in the form of pineapples or geometric shapes - all these unusually beautiful ideas will inspire you to create your own masterpiece. But if you are just starting your creative journey in the field of crochet, then these two simple details will help you master such a seemingly difficult subject. At first it will be a crochet yoke for a children's dress (patterns are presented below), and then you will gradually move on to complex patterns.

A new way to knit a yoke for beginners

Some knitters come up with their own life hacks for knitting a yoke. For example, alternating double crochets in one row and single crochets in the opposite direction in the next row, which gives some rigidity to the product. Also creating stiffeners by knitting a row or two in single crochets.

You can watch all the knitting life hacks from one user in the video below.

A yoke is a cut-off part of a shirt, blouse or dress, which is stitched to the back, thereby forming the upper part of the product. Also, yoke is used when sewing skirts, trousers and jeans. Let's look at how to crochet a round yoke with patterns that will help you complete the job faster and without errors.

Crochet an openwork bolero on a round yoke for a young princess

The pattern of this yoke can be used not only for boleros, but for other products.

The size of the finished bolero is designed for a child 3-4 years old with a height of 110 cm.

  • 200 g of Katrin Alpina yarn (100% cotton);
  • hook No. 2.5.

1r. – 3 VP, 2 Dc in the first stitch, 3 VP, 2 Dc, etc. There should be 28 petals in total.

3 rub. – the execution process is shown in the following photo

Knitting pattern for the first three rows of a bolero

We perform the next 12 rows according to a different pattern so that we get three rows of colors. Next, we distribute the loops on the front and back and separately knit 2 more rows of dc. To form an armhole, you need to knit 1 row of dc, connecting the fronts and back together.

All that remains is to tie the strings. We collect air loops for each of them to make chains of 30 cm. Then we sew them to the bolero 2-3 cm below the neck.

Delicate dress with a square yoke for a three-year-old

A summer version of a knitted dress that uses a square crochet yoke. The undeniable advantages of this product are its elegant design and 100% breathability. Even on the hottest days, the baby will not experience any discomfort

The size of the dress is designed for a child of two to three years old

For work needs to be prepared:

  • 200g of yarn with a composition of 70% viscose, 30% cotton;
  • hook 2.5;
  • button
  • satin ribbon or nylon lace 0.8 - 1.0 m long.

We will crochet from top to bottom. We cast on a chain of 90 chain stitches and then knit DC in straight and reverse rows: 15 stitches. back, 2 VP, 15 pet. sleeves, 2 VP, 30 pets. front, 2 ch, 15 pets. sleeves, 2 VP, 15 st. backrests Thanks to this scheme, as a result we will get a cut for the fastener on the back.

We continue crocheting as shown in diagram 30.1. After 6 cm from the start of work, close the knitting in a ring and continue knitting in a circle. Leave loops for the sleeves at a height of 11 cm from the beginning. We close the front and back loops into a ring, there should be 96 of them, and continue knitting the double stitch. in circular rows. In this way we perform 1-2 rows, after which we proceed to the pattern of diagram 30.2. Also, it is necessary to make 1-2 repeats in height (depending on the desired length of the product).

We finish knitting the dress with a border (3 rows according to pattern 30.2.). We decorate the edge of the sleeves with a border according to scheme 30.3. We tie 3 RLS around the neckline, then sew on the finishing lace. On one side of the cut on the back we make a loop using a VP, and on the other side we sew a button. We stretch a ribbon through the holes of the first openwork row of the skirt and tie a bow in the central part of the front of the dress.

Jacquard pullover with round yoke

Let's consider a model of a pullover knitted not only with crochet, but also with two types of knitting needles. The result is very beautiful and unusual. The main part of the product is made with a scaly pattern. It is separated from the yoke by a wide jacquard stripe.

To work you need to prepare:

  • 700g dark red yarn;
  • 50g orange wool blend thread for embroidery in 4 folds;
  • knitting needles No. 2;
  • round knitting needles No. 2;
  • hook number 3.

Finished product size – 44/46;

Knitting density: 24pet*40 rub. =10*10 cm;

The elastic is performed by alternating 1 knit stitch with 1 purl stitch;

We knit the pullover in circular rows from top to bottom, starting from the yoke.

For the yoke, cast on 176 stitches on circular needles. and knit with an elastic band of 2 cm. Next, you need to knit 44 repeats according to pattern 16.1, performing the indicated addition and decrease of loops. After completing this pattern you should have 308 stitches. Now we divide them into parts, marking them with dots. For the front and back we separate 92 stitches, and for the sleeves - 62 stitches. We knit, adding 1 stitch. on both sides of the product line in every 2nd row, 6 times. The result should be 356 pets. Now we knit 13 rows in stockinette stitch, after which we separate 104 stitches. for the back and front, and 74 pets each. for sleeves.

We perform the front and back according to pattern 16.3, decreasing 6 times by 1 loop on both sides in every 10th row. Subsequent 60r. we knit without changes. At a height of 13 cm relative to the yoke, you need to knit 13 r. facial stitch and 12 r. according to scheme 16.3, after which we close the loops.

We knit each sleeve according to pattern 16.3, in which case it is necessary to decrease 1 loop 5 times on both sides in every 10th row. When the height of the fabric reaches 30 cm from the yoke, we perform 13 rows with stockinette stitch and 24 rows with the pattern of scheme 16.3. We close the loops.

We move on to the final stage of knitting a pullover - assembly and finishing. Embroider a pattern on the stripes of stockinette stitch, as shown in diagram 16.2. Next we sew the side and inner seams of the sleeves. We tie the edge of the neck with orange thread 1 next to the “crawfish step”

Openwork blouse on a round yoke with a pineapple pattern

Consider crocheting a beautiful top that can be worn under a skirt, jeans or shorts. Crocheting a round yoke is not at all difficult; a detailed description and diagrams will help you cope with the task.

To work you need to prepare:

  • 400g black cotton yarn;
  • hook number 2.

Finished top size: 38

We knit in circular rows, starting with the yoke (pattern 1-1) and continuing with the main pattern (pattern 1-2), where rows 4-7 are repeated.

Figures 1-1 and 1-2 show the dimensions and knitting directions.

Yoke. We cast on a chain of 128 VP (the number of loops must be a multiple of 8), connect it into a ring and knit according to the 1-1 pattern, distributing repeats (in our case there are 16 of them). We knit in circular rows, and place the lifting line to the new row along the raglan line.

To expand the fabric, it is necessary to increase the number of loops, as shown in the diagram. When the yoke is ready, tie the top row with the pattern of diagram 1-1 (in the picture it is indicated in red).

Let's move on to doing the back and front. We knit them with an openwork pattern, dividing the fabric into 4 parts - 4 repeats for the sleeves and 4 repeats for the back and front. We do not touch the armholes yet, but combine the back and front into one fabric and knit in circular rows according to pattern 1-2 until the desired length is reached. We tie the bottom edge of the product with the pattern of diagrams 1-3.

Sleeves. We begin to knit them in the armholes according to pattern 1-2 from top to bottom, starting from the edge of the yoke. When the sleeves reach the desired length, their edge must be tied with a pattern of diagrams 1-4

The round yoke is crocheted quite easily, which is confirmed by its patterns. Even a seemingly complex pattern does not require high skill. Thanks to the yoke, the product looks original and fits better on the figure.

Selection of schemes

A huge number of knitted models of women's and children's clothing (dresses, blouses, tops, sundresses) include such a design element as a yoke. It refers to the upper part of the product, which differs from the main part of the canvas in pattern or color. In addition to its aesthetic role, it makes knitting any pattern much easier, since it is knitted in the round, automatically eliminating the need to knit the neckline and armhole line.

The yoke is that element of clothing design that contains the widest possibilities for creating exclusive items of women's wardrobe - it gives uniqueness and charm to crocheted products. Yoke is often used by needlewomen in the design of crocheted dresses, sweaters, cardigans and vests. It looks no less interesting as an addition to knitted clothing models - yoke lace can transform and decorate even a long-forgotten, but previously so beloved sundress or jumper! Moreover, a yoke with openwork edges can also act as an independent wardrobe item, in particular, it can decorate a woman’s look as an elegant collar necklace.

The round yoke is a classic of crocheted needlework, which many craftswomen are not averse to practicing, especially those who are just learning how to crochet. The yoke can be knitted in one piece or detachable if you plan to knit the product with a fastener.

There are two main options for crocheting a round yoke:

  • from the neck down, i.e. First, the yoke itself is knitted and all further knitting is built on its lower edge, from which the sleeves, back and front of the product continue;
  • from the armpit upward in the transverse direction, i.e. the yoke is knitted from the final row of the fabric of the back and/or front of the product (can be made with a fastener in the front, on the back or as a whole fabric).

In any case, a round yoke must be knitted in strict accordance with the pattern provided for the model, because in order to obtain a part of a perfectly correct shape, it is necessary to strictly follow the principles of fabric expansion. At the same time, working on crocheted yokes does not require a high level of skill from the needlewoman; even a beginner in knitting can easily handle them. For those who like to experiment and create their own patterns, we offer five crochet round yoke patterns with detailed diagrams and step-by-step instructions for their implementation.

Designations:

  • VP – air loop;
  • runway – lift runway;
  • RLS or art. b/n – single crochet;
  • CCH or Art. s/n – double crochet;
  • PS – half-column;
  • PR – prev. row;
  • СС – connecting column.

Elegant yoke made in the pineapple pattern

The “pineapple pattern,” beloved by many, continues to win the hearts of needlewomen - the process of knitting it cannot be called overly complex, and the results delight with incredible beauty. Crocheted pineapples look gorgeous on yokes; moreover, to complete such a pattern it is convenient to connect any other knitting intended for making the back and front of the product (openwork, fillet, motifs). We propose to consider step by step the stages of knitting a yoke “in pineapples” with a single piece of fabric.

The element diagram looks like this:

Completing of the work

Knitting is carried out using the circular method, according to the “from the neck” principle. We knit a base chain of 160 VPs and close it into a circle using a SS.

Row No. 1: 4 VP, 2 Dc in next. VP, then repeat to the end of the row: skip 3 VP and perform 2 dc in the next row. VP, + 1 VP, next. We knit a loop 2 dc + 1 ch. We finish the row by skipping 3 VPs, then knit 1 DC in the same stitch as the first VP of the row, close the SS row in the third VP from the beginning of the row. We continue to work in a circle with a pattern according to the yoke pattern.

We knit until the length of the yoke is 20 cm. In the penultimate row of the element, we separate the loops for knitting the back, front and sleeves.

Round yoke with openwork pattern

Such a yoke is especially relevant for summer dresses and tops, because with its help you can close several knitting moves at once - it acts as both straps and sleeves of the product. All that remains to be done after the yoke is ready is to sew or tie it to the main fabric of the blouse, sundress, or dress.

Knitting pattern for a yoke pattern:

The yoke is knitted in circular rows in an openwork pattern according to the pattern.

The base is a chain of 160 VPs, closing into a SS ring.

Each circular row begins with the 1st runway (not a single column) or 3 VPs for one CCH, and ends with one SS in the upper runway. Rapports from columns of s/n, alternating with VP, are repeated constantly, from the 2nd to the 7th circular row.

At the same time, when knitting an openwork pattern, do not forget to perform the following decreases:

Row No. 4: in each group of dc we knit not 10, but only 8 s/n stitches.

Rows No. 5-6: evenly reduce the number of RLS and VP.

Row No. 7: in each group of dc we knit not 8, but only 6 s/n stitches.

Rows No. 8-9: evenly reduce the number of RLS and VP.

Row No. 10: in each group of dc we knit not 6, but only 4 s/n stitches.

Row No. 11: evenly reduce the number of sc.

After 11 circular rows, the width of the fabric should be approximately 12-14 cm (depending on the “span” of knitting and yarn), we finish knitting the SS. We use a ready-made yoke to decorate the desired model of clothing.

Original flower yoke

The embossed yoke made of floral motifs is one of the favorites among knitters. With proper skill, making it will not be difficult, and at the same time, it truly decorates any knitted items like a king!

The yoke fabric is based on knitting interconnected floral motifs. We start knitting from the center of the floral motif: cast on a base of 5 VPs, close it in a circle using a SS.

Knitting in the round:

Row No. 1: grabbing the end of the thread, we knit 1 RLS into the ring from VP, then knit with repeats: 3 VP + 1 RLS, you should get 4 arches from VP.

Row No. 2: for each arch from VP we knit 1 sc + 1 sc + 4 sc + 1 sc + 1 sc, in total we get 4 petals of the future flower.

Row No. 3: we take the hook out of the back wall of the loop, we knit 2 VP (thus we reach the middle of the lower side of the first petal), we knit with rapports in the middle of the petal: in the center of 4 DC PR we knit 1 SC into the arch from the VP of the first row + 5 VP, in total you should get 4 arches from air loops.

Row No. 4: for each arch of 5 VP we knit 1 sc + 1 sc + 6 sc + 1 sc + 1 sc, as a result we get 4 petals.

Row No. 5: we take the hook out of the back wall of the loop, knit 2 VP (thus we reach the middle of the first petal), knit with rapports in the middle of the petal: in the center of 6 DC PR we knit 1 SC in the arch from the VP of the third row + 4 VP, repeat like this to the end of the row, we close the SS in the RLS of the first petal from the beginning of the row (it turns out 4 chains of VP).

Row No. 6: for each arch from VP we knit 1 sc + 1 sc + 2 sc + 5 VP for the “corner” + 2 sc + 1 sc + 1 sc. We finish the SS in the initial RLS, we get 4 petals with 4 “corners”.

We connect the knitted flowers together in “corners” using SS in the center of such a corner and in the middle of the arch of 5 VPs. For the first top row of the yoke, approximately 20-25 of these colors are needed (depending on the size of the future clothing model). We collect them into a ring and fasten them with SS. Then we make the desired number of similar rows of flowers, connecting them together using a hook. We sew the finished yoke to a previously knitted top or sundress.

Playful coquette-collar under the throat

To decorate a knitted product with such a yoke, you need to knit from the armpit up in the transverse direction, i.e. from bottom to top, knitting a yoke from the last row of the finished fabric.

Row No. 1 we continue knitting in a circular manner, starting from the right armhole (immediately knit with rapports 15 times: 3 VP + 1 DC in the first VP of the chain + 1 PS in the second VP from the hook), on the back we knit 46 PS in the next. 46 PS PR, we finish with the left armhole (15 repeating combinations: 3 VP + 1 DC in the first VP of the chain + 1 PS in the second PS PR from the hook), we knit the front part of the yoke with the 70th PS in 70 PS PR.

Row No. 2: right armhole (15 rapports: 2 stitches in the next arch from 3 VP PR from the hook), on the back we knit 46 stitches in the next. 46 PS PR, left armhole (15 rapports: 2 PR in the next arch from 3 CR PR from the hook), front part – 70 PS in 70 PS PR. In total you should get 180 PS.

Rows No. 3-5: knit in the PS circle.

Row No. 6: change the color of the yarn, knit PS.

Rows No. 7-10: knit PS.

Row No. 11 and everything else. We knit odd rows with rapports until the end of the row: 5 sts in the next row. 5 PS PR, 2 unfinished PS united by one vertex are tied into 2 PS PR.

Row No. 12 and all subsequent even rows: we knit in half columns. Row No. 20 we knit 86 PS in the next row. 86 PS PR.

We knit rows No. 21-34 straight. SS. We cut off the thread.

Tying the yoke with a frill: attach the yarn to row No. 6 (of the same color).

Row No. 1: 5 VP (3 VP + 2 VP), repeats to the end of the row: 1 DC in the next row. PS PR + 2 VP. SS.

Row No. 2: 3 VP, 4 Dc in the arch of 2 VP PR, repeats to the end of the row: 5 Dc in the next. arch from 2 VP PR from the hook. SS. The coquette is ready!

Translucent thin yoke for a sundress

The yoke model is quite narrow, so it can serve as straps for a summer sundress. Her openwork will look perfect in lace tops, nautical tunic capes, and light dresses. Let's start knitting.

The yoke is entirely knitted and crocheted in the round.

We collect a chain of 180 VPs and close them into an SS ring.

Row No. 1: 4 VP + 179 C2H next. 179 VP of the basic chain. SS.

Row No. 2: 4 runways + 2 unfinished C2H, united by one vertex into the first runway + 3 VP + 1 C2H into the same runway, then we knit 60 repeats: 3 unfinished C2H with one vertex we knit into the third C2H PR from the hook + 3 VP + 1 C2H in the same C2H PR. SS.

Row No. 3: 4 VP + 3 C2H in the arch of 3 VP PR, then - 60 repeats: 4 C2H in the next. arch from 3 VP PR from the hook. SS. In total you should get 240 C2H. We divide the yoke into 4 parts (2 sleeves, back and front of the product), continue knitting the sundress.
